Odds and Ends
Today was my first day back with my students. All in all a good day. It went extremely fast due to a writing test practice that took up most of the morning. My problem child did well today and only got lectured from me once! I'm trying to work on his attitude. He gives his mom hell and me the same and I'm not taking that kind of attitude from a kid. My veep was a bit pissy at the bus line, but it turned out she was under pressure so she was reflecting it onto us. She's known for being like that with the students...apparently the staff gets it as well :(
I tried some exercise stuff on exercise tv. The short ones kicked my butt! I really liked the Biggest Loser and Jillian Michaels ones. I'm going to try and do the entire JM one tomorrow.
I watched Made twice today. One was about a girl trying to be a cheerleader. I think I saw a lot of it before. The other was about an Anime fan chick who wanted to be a pageant queen. Hers was really interesting. She actually won!

I just found out about a movie with two of my favourite Ron Koslow actors in it. It's called Outlander. At first I thought it might be based on Diana Gabaldon's book, but it's actually a Sci Fi viking film. It has Ron Perlman and Sophie Myles in it. I so want to see that! I LOVE both of them. I had been watching Sons of Anarchy, but it's just a little too violent/not my thing. One of my co-workers watches it and thinks the young lead is gorgeous...here I am drooling over Ron Perlman, lol! Hey back in the day I had a pic of him as Vincent in my room and two of my friends thought that was the coolest thing!
I want a haircut. My hair has gotten too long and it is driving me crazy. I was thinking about growing it longer, but decided today no way. It's better shorter. I just have so much hair that it kind of takes over everything and it's partly wavy so it doesn't do anything I want it to.
I found the email of someone I had a class with last year. She also teaches 4th grade. I emailed her about sharing ideas and she said sure! I'm looking forward to getting ideas from someone who isn't part of my district. Sometimes the same ideas are shared over and over and things get stagnant.
Well I'm starving so I'm going skip!
