Flawless chapter, as usual :) Can't wait to read more.

Just a comment though...I'm not sure what exactly you wanted for Blaine's mother to say in Filipino because being a native speaker of the language, the sentence construction doesn't quite make any sense.

"Kaya" literally means "That's why", "Maganda" means "Beautiful", "Aking" is "My", "Mahal" can either be "Beloved" or "Love" and "Lalaki" is "Male". So put together, your sentence says something like "That's why beautiful, my beloved male" XD Sorry if I'm being too nitpicky about it but I found it quite jarring :(

I think the author was trying to say something along the lines of, "So beautiful, my dear boy", as that's what comes up when you run it through an online translator :)

It was!! :D Actually, if I could get a proper translation of that, it would be amazing. Sorry to be so jarring! All of my Filipino friends cannot actually speak the language, so I online translator-failed. X_X

I'm glad you enjoyed otherwise, though, but I do know how jarring that can be. My apologies!

Ah now your confusion makes sense :)

Well, there's literally no actual direct translation for that, I'm afraid. Lol, the semantics of the Filipino language is so effed up like you wouldn't believe.

But I guess you can try something like "Ang napakaganda kong iho" ("My very beautiful son"). Beautiful translates to Maganda but the thing is though beautiful is applicable to both male and female, in the Filipino context, maganda is always feminine in nature. You're better off using "Ang napakagwapo kong iho" which indirectly translates to "My very handsome son".

Gah, I hope that wasn't too confusing XD
