Oh, sweetie, I'm just over the moon that you bothered to leave a comment on the first half at all!! Most people just skip right ahead to the next half, which is completely fine as well, of course. The way the fashion icon posters are removed almost unnoticeably reminds me of how an abuser isolates his victim. Yes, yes, yes, yes, YES. Oh, bang on, bb. Precisely what I was going for. It's almost a physical manifestation of Kurt's environment becoming uninviting, removed from his personality. Belonging to someone else.

With regards to the rape scene... yes. God, yes: that scene was one of the ones that freaked me right out when I was writing it. The not being able to breathe, or swallow down spit, or being allowed to choke... ugh. Is it weird if I say that something that really freaks me out is how fucking inconsiderate Dave is of Kurt's physical well-being during the act? Dave claims to love him, but someone fools his mind into thinking that a consensual blowjob looks like THAT... ugh. Ugh, I can't. I WROTE it and I can't, ugh.

Kurt is so, so much stronger than he thinks he is. I just hope he can realize that.

One final thing: very perceptive about the shelf, honey! I was wondering how many people noticed that the first time round! And since you've already read the second part, and I never explicitly spell out what the text says, here it is:
