Archaeological Gear

For my new job doing archaeological survey in the Eldorado National Forest, I have to own the following: hiking boots with vibram soles, gaiters, metric tape measure, day pack first aid kit, 2 person tent, marmot sleeping bag, 2 liter platypus water bladder (to somehow attach to my back pack), pocket knife, clipboard, compass, bandanas, collapsible lunch bag, big floppy hat.

Additionally, I have had to learn: that a fed bear is a dead bear, tick and lyme disease identification, how to drive a stick shift, archaeological methods and theory, California prehistory, cultural resources management, and how to set up above-mentioned tent.

No wonder I'm broke.
