So I'm over halfway through reading Dracula. The book is HUGE! Over 500 pages. I can't believe how fast it's going though. The book doesn't start with a whole lot of setup or anything, it sort of jumps right into the story, which is pretty exciting from the first page. The whole book is written in journal entries, letters, and newspaper columns, which makes it even more interesting and easy to read.
I was talking with one of my coworkers the other day and we decided that not many people know the story of Dracula. People know that he's a vampire who lives in a great big castle in Transylvania, and he likes to drink blood from people, but that's about it.
Anyone who's interested in vampire stories and their mythology should be sure to pick it up. I know it's one of those books that lots of people may be intimidated by, but that's definitely not the case here. It's very easy to read, with lots of break spots, so don't fear vampire enthusiasts! The only thing intimidating here is Dracula himself :)
