ALDAC classes
So this quarter I'm working with a blind student who is take classes to become certified as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. So i've been sitting on lots of classes about drugs and the such. I'm so incredibly naive about the dangers and evils of drugs and alcohol, but then again, I chose to be this naive. I have no wish to experiment with any of that stuff. Alcohol makes me sick due to a lovely gene that makes me produce more acetylaldehyde at a faster rate then the normal person. And the idea of smoking is kinda disturbing to me because I already have enough trouble breathing, I don't need to make it worse. But I figure it is good that I'm learning a little about drug and alcohol counseling since I'm sure I'll encounter some people going through drug or alcohol related problems once I become a doctor.
I'm also learning some counseling techniques which I hope will help me out when it comes to doctoring.
