#025 - Ugh.. (06/01/2009)
The title of my blog says it all. The word describes exactly how I drove tonight. Firstly, it was -2 degrees at the track. Honestly. Even my super-holy-gloves-that-I-love aren't made for that. On the first heat I kept on my hoodie, but it was relly hard moving around and shifting my weight in that.. I couldn't even put on my neckband so my neck went all over the place.
Something pretty awesome though: Roeland was kind of out of ideas on what to do on track, so I asked him if we could do the reverse track again that we did a looooooooooong time ago. We DID! YAY! Unfortunately I was frozen to death because I decided just to race in my t-shirt + jacket, so it went pretty bad. You may think I'm exaggerating - because I do that a lot - but it was FREEZING.
Third heat - same situation. I came out of the car shivering and my hands looked all freaky when I took my gloves off. During the heat, we did an assignment with some cones that were put on the straight (the long part where you go fastest). It was put as if there was a kart randomly on the straight, which you had to avoid without losing too much momentum. I only had to do it once, because I nailed it right away! =)
By then it was about quarter past ten, and we were supposed to go home, but Joey asked me if I wanted to join in the staff heat. I reaaaally wanted to, because that is always so much better - it's like magic! - but my dad didn't want to. Mind you, the staff heat would start at eleven, so I kind of understand.. but I still wish we could've stayed!
