#018 - My Terminology

Some of the words and people I mention you might not know. So let me broaden your horizon.

Racing Night: This is every tuesday night. It starts at around 7:00 PM and ends at 9:30 PM most of the time. Usually we do three heats. Racing Night has kind of become the meet up of all the professional karters of my age. My dad and I are the only ones that aren't pro's. However, lately there's been a noob invasion, so there are around fourty people now, whereas first we were only a group of fifteen. It's so busy that most of the time we can only do two heats now.. At Racing Night there are also two racing coaches that give you advice where it's needed. They are called Roeland and Hans.

Onbeperkt Karten: This is on sunday nights. You pay about 26 Euros for the whole night and depending on how busy it is that's how many heats you can race. So if you're lucky you can do six, like I did a week ago. My preference is with Onbeperkt Karten now, because it's not as busy as Racing Night is nowadays.

De Fabrique: This is the track I always go to. It's in Utrecht-Maarssen. http://www.defabrique.nl/ I might refer to De Fabrique as simple DFE, because it saves me a lot of typing.

Staff (the ones I know the names of..): Tim, Edje (Edwin), Joey, Erwin and there are more that I talk to, but I don't know their names. I really should ask some time.

The Suits: Professional karters with their own overall and karting gear.

Well, I hope I covered everything now!

karting, de fabrique
