Sketch Fest site poll stuff, registration and submissions to the Fantasy Art Shop
The poll for the Sketch Fest site is tied all over the place, and there's a lot of great discussion going on about the various choices for registration and features: http://community.livejournal.com/emglivejournal/
A few clarifications:
I've taken a closer look at what it will entail to incorporate OpenID, and... it looks possible, but complicated. I'm not sure I could have it ready for the next Sketch Fest without a serious investment of time (and probably a lot of swearing...). There's enough interest that I will look into it as a long-term option, however, as I think that the idea in general is good and might want to incorporate it on other sites I work with, too.
Using the existing artists database would still allow people who aren't existing EMG artists to create accounts so they could participate equally.

The Fantasy Art Shop has not been officially released, but artists with lilypad accounts may log in, accept the new terms, and upload artwork. New and interested in joining? Shoot me an email or PM and I'll get you set up. (I no longer require a hardcopy contract for this portion of the site!)
