Amy and I met for dinner Friday night and it was just the two of us. We sat with some pigeons who were sleeping on the ground by a support beam and a garbage can (one of them was facing the support beam like a kid in the corner being punished). They didn't seem to care much that we were sitting there - one would open it's eye once in a while and make sure we weren't creeping up on them, but otherwise, they just chilled out there while we ate.
FNW was fun. I really love attending; it brings a lot of happiness to the end of the week. Poor Amy.... her knee was really bothering her so she didn't get to dance as much as she probably would have liked. The dance floor was fairly empty this week and we all figured it must have been because of the ball at Stanford that night. More dancing room never hurt anything as far as I am concerned.
EM arrived on Saturday at about noon with a few suitcases and some miscellaneous things in tow. Her furniture arrives Thur/Fri this week (and of course it is supposed to rain!) We've been making due on the bits that I have in the house until her stuff comes. We look pretty silly eating at the kitchen counter since we have no tables.
I got all dolled up and went to the FNW Bay Celtic Festival. Joseph and I carpooled, which was very nice since it was raining and I would not have been able to go otherwise. Sarah was there early too so we hung out and danced and did some of the classes. When a few more friends arrived, we walked over to Whole Foods for some dinner. Sarah and I split a brownie that was so chocolaty rich that we were glad we split it. Most of our other friends showed up 9-10 pm. The official dancing started at 10 and was advertised to go until midnight, but ended at 11:30 instead. LOTS of polkas all day! The multitude of polkas really made me enjoy the few waltzes that were thrown in there. I didn't join any of the polka sets because I don't feel like I am good enough yet and didn't want to blunder a set up.
A lot of us went to afters at Au Coquelet and by the time I sat down, I realized how tired I was. It started raining while we were there, so we had a fun drive home. I got home at almost 3am and crashed.
Sunday I got up LATE and EM laughed at me eating breakfast at 12:45. I did my taxes and fiddled around with my digital photo frame some, but pretty much just chatted with EM and relaxed.
Got into work today and went to print my tax forms - only they are BLANK! I hope they saved at home! I emailed the PDFs to myself since I don't have a printer at home anymore. I really REALLY don't want to have to do my taxes over!
Work has still been really busy. I am not sure why I am so busy when there isn't a lot of projects going on, but I am. There has been a drastic decrease in the amount of supplies I have to order every other week, which is kinda nice on my end. I am making up for the botched ticket thing from last week.
