Timeline? The one adapted from the Crichton novel? Still really sucks. Like the wormhole in the book. The only redeeming feature is that now I know Marek is played by
Gerard Butler (the Phantom from the movie version of The Phantom of the Opera) and can focus on him and his dreamy eyes and accent (oooh, the Scottish brogue is lovely - I could totally have that voice talk me to sleep. Can you tell I'm in total and utter boyfriend withdrawal now? I promise I'll quit waxing rhapsodic about men one of these days. Really. I promise.) and almost pretend that the rest of the movie doesn't exist.
Speaking of men, and boyfriends and such... That scene with George and Meredith in bed on Grey's Anatomy last night was just... excruciating. Superbly written and acted, which is exactly why it was so uncomfortable to watch. Shonda and the other writers are so amazing they should win every writing Emmy, Golden Globe, etc. there is until they all drop dead, or the show is canceled, whichever comes first (and I have a feeling it'll be the former, considering the audience).
Completely different subject... Spring practice for the UT football team has started!! Yay!! We don't have Vince, and that sucks, but the sportscasters are saying good things about our freshman replacements at QB. *fingerscrossed* At least they have until the beginning of August to work out all the major kinks.
Speaking of UT, the FBI has cleared the substance found in that roll of quarters. It's not ricin as originally thought. The main theory is that banks use a powder to clean the quarters before recirculating, and maybe some of that powder didn't get brushed off before the quarters were rolled. Either way, it's still scary.
For tomorrow: Happy Mardi Gras! For my NOLA-dwelling peeps: have a safe and happy one. Hopefully your weekend and celebrations have been more joyous than upsetting, and you've been able to laissez le bons temps roulez... at least somewhat.
