Blech

While at one of the clinics on Friday I seem to have picked up a head cold. Been feeling like crap for the last couple of days. It's your basic can't breathe, sore throat, achy ears, sinus pressure headache, phlegmy-type thing. I'm now taking benadryl, sudafed (the real "I have to have my driver's license swiped and sign a promissory thingy saying I  won't make meth" stuff), and swigging down doses of robitussin every 4-6 hours. So happy about that. I look very silly walking around the house with a breathe-right strip on my nose, kleenex sticking out of my pockets, and basically just shuffling around like I'm actually 85. Very pathetic.

In other things... The Cowboys last night looked more like the Cowgirls. 1) Kitna needs to be let go. When your most interesting stat is that you have just as many interceptions as touchdown passes, you SUCK ASS as a quarterback. 2) Wade Phillips is nothing like his father, and I'm sure Jerry Jones is regretting his choice. Bum Phillips = amazing coach. Wade = stupid crappy coach. 3) I was disappointed that after a while, the players just stopped bothering to really try to play. However, I don't really blame them. Knowing that there was no way to come back and win the game, I might back off the aggressive moves to save me from needless injuries.

I switched Mom's computer from IE to Firefox last night. While Mom is fairly computer-literate, she's still stuck back in the 90s with her knowledge. She still uses AOL. She feels that the only way to access programs is to have an icon on the desktop. She still doesn't the right lingo to make her intentions clear. (She said something about "how do I send this message in my live messenger to someone?" It turned out she was asking how to send a link. Since she's still using AOL, which isn't supported by firefox webmail, I finally told her that the only way to send a link was to copy the address in the address bar and then paste it manually into an e-mail. My sister also has an AOL address and that's what she does. Oy.)

My sister has started a blog called "Writing for Recovery." She talks about eating disorders, abuse, feelings about these things, etc. I can't explain how good it is. Go visit - writingforrecovery.wordpress.com. She's an amazing writer and poet, and her words are always  touching.

Later!
