Cliff Curtis:
His last role was as Rabbit in Trauma on NBC (which they canceled and I am pissed about it). He's cute. I was attempting to watch Collateral Damage (the one with Arnold who gets pissed off at Columbian gorillas for accidentally killing his wife and son in a bomb blast and thus tracks them down in the jungle), partly because Cliff was in it. Turns out he was the leader of the gorillas and was speaking with a "Columbian" accent. Very strange. I couldn't watch the rest of the movie because it was horrible and boring and the acting was slowly sucking the life out of me. Anyway, I decided to imdb Cliff. Turns out he's of Maori decent and grew up in New Zealand. This, to me, makes him even sexier. I LOVE ACCENTS. And his is just lovely. Watch:

Cats: Poor Andrew is having major sneezing fits. He's always had allergies and sneezed some during the spring, but this year he's had it very bad. He'll actually sneeze so much in a row that he'll start a nose bleed. I feel so bad for him. So I've finally convinced Mom that he needs to go to the vet. We tried here at home to get some benadryl in him, however, he has PTSD from being a pound kitty and completely freaks out when held. And a 30lb cat freaking out and squirming is incredibly difficult to deal with. We need the vet to create some kind of decongestant/allergy med that can be put in his food that tastes decent enough that he'll eat it. He's going to be seen Monday. Hopefully, they'll be able to help. Also, I'm feeling special. Fluffy had decided that she is alright with being in my room and cuddling with me every now and then. I think it's because Sis is having to spend most of her time downstairs since her bedroom TV died. I'm sure Fluff will be completely clingy to Sis once she gets back upstairs.

Consumer electronics: Since Sis' TV died, Mom had to buy her a new one, and the only ones now available for purchase are HD flat screens. This made me incredibly jealous since I've been using the same 13" TV from the time I first got it in 5th grade until now. It's starting to lose its brightness, so all of those drama shows that shoot in almost complete darkness are incredibly hard to see. Also, watching any show, the people are very small. Mom knows all this, and told me that she'd buy a new TV for me, too, to be fair. How awesome is that? So soon I'm going to have a sweet-ass flat screen. I'm stoked.

Clean: I had been in a complete funk while Monica was gone. I lost all motivation to do anything. One of those things I ignored was my trash can. It started to overflow onto the floor the way it used to, and was definitely headed in the "Mountain of Trash" direction. Weds night, I decided enough was enough, and cleaned up the whole thing. Woo for me! I finally have hit a point where I actually really don't like seeing piles of trash. This includes the kitchen trash can, so I tend to be the one to deal with the can in there as well. However, I've told Sis that the overflowing trash can in the bathroom is her responsibility. A bunch of her used feminine hygiene products are in there, and I don't think I should have to be the one to deal with that. She said she would do it. I'm skeptical.

Catastrophe: I've been watching a lot of coverage on the oil spill (wow, I almost typed the Twitter #oilspill). My cousin's cousin lives in NOLA and has been talking about it a lot. I can't believe that BP has done things like invite James FREAKING Cameron to assist in ideas to fix the leak. WTF to infinity. I know they say "well, he has a ton of experience with deep water submersibles," but I don't think that's the whole reason. I think it might also be that he's a director that thinks outside the box on the crazy side. The images of the oil-soaked pelicans just break my heart. Oh! There was one story Rick Sanchez had where some parents out on Dauphin Island off the coast of Alabama were still letting their kids swim in the water, just telling them to not open their mouths underwater. That just makes me shake my head at the stupidity.

Crap: The dude that's handling my social security application/claim is a complete idiot. One, the people at my local office go by their last names. I have to call this dickhead "Mr. [SSA Guy]" instead of referring to him by his first name. Supposedly it's because they want to keep themselves safe from people tracking them down. Is it just me, or would it be somewhat easier to track down a person by their last name only (especially, when it's not a very common name), than by just their first name? How can I track down a Susan? When I received the information that sums up what he put on my application, a lot of the statements didn't match up with what I said. So I called him. He told me that it was all okay. It better be. Otherwise, his supervisor is going to be getting a call from me.

Commercials: I'm going mental about one particular commercial. It's for KFC. It starts with a douche on a train yelling into his phone about "going off the grid!" So the woman next to him starts munching on her extra crispy chicken and can't hear him anymore for the crunching sound in her head. I'm fine with the munching, but the yelling douche pisses me off.

Also, the one for the "Shake Weight." It starts out just fine, then jumps about 20 decibels. I always have to mute the damn thing. Grr.

Conclusion: I can't believe I made a post that had all categories starting with the letter "c."

ETA: It seems that YouTube has put a security block on the Shake Weight commercial because it's being seen as potentially lewd. Which I completely understand, since the women are making a motion that's rather suggestive of... um... manually pleasing a man. And their boobs shake a bunch as they use the device. Too funny.
