I have a digital camera!! (Thanks, Heather!) I'm now one step closer to fully incorporating myself into the 21st century technologically. All I need now is an MP3 player. (That's not a hint.)
So now I can show off all of the cool pictures I've taken over the past week of ownership of my new toy:
Updraft in a cumulonimbus cloud.
An ashtray in the grass at Starbucks. I don't know why I took this picture except that I felt it had some kind of artistic value. Or it maybe only a picture of an ashtray in the grass outside a Starbucks.
Oleander in bloom outside my apartment's office. Why is it that I'm slightly unnerved about having a poisonous plant around our property?
A single bloom of Madame Galen trumpet flower. *It took me a good 20 minutes of searching the internets before figuring out what the hell this was.
A cluster of Madame Galen trumpet flowers. These vines stretch across the entire fence that divides our apartment complex from the building property next door. Lots of gorgeous flowers in the summer months.
A Gulf Fritillary (the look-up for butterfly type took only about 2 minutes, thank GOD) butterfly hanging out in the bushes in front of my building.
Another view of the same butterfly. This is one of my favorite shots I've taken so far with this camera.
Sunshine shining up from under the clouds. The rooftops you see are another apartment building in my complex. You see the Tyvek cover surrounding the chimney? That's been there for, like, 3 days now as the dudes doing the work are SLOW AS SHIT.
A dragonfly in the NO PARKING zone in front of my building. I don't care what kind of dragonfly he is.
Acorns on a Live Oak tree. Fully matured. In AUGUST. What the hell??
Enjoy! I know I enjoyed taking them and learning how to use my camera. Believe me... there are a lot more discarded than these few really good ones. But I'm proud of these.
