Everyone knows it's windy

I checked the outside temp at about noon as I was preparing to get dressed before my appointment with Dr. M. The Weather Channel was saying it was 80 out, so I threw on my CSI: Las Vegas t-shirt (actually from Las Vegas), jeans, and flip-flops. Thirty minutes later, as I walked out the door, it felt a lot cooler than 80. The temp gauge on my dash said it was only 70 outside. I was all, "The hell? Maybe the front came through." Being the weather geek I am, I came home and checked to see if that was actually when the front rolled through. It was. The thermometer at our main city recording station reported the same strange 10 degree drop in temp between their measurement at 11:51 of 79 and12:07 of 71.6. Almost 8 degrees in under 20 minutes. That's just crazy. Before that point the winds were calm. After noon, the winds started coming from the north and northwest between 4 and 13 mph. We're warming back up again toward 80 even though we're under a cloud layer, so we'll probably get storms tonight. Yay.

Weather's amazing. If only those A&M bastards hadn't been so stupid about their admissions. I'd be a damn good meteorologist. But I'm going to be even happier doing theatre tech, I think, so all's well that ends well.
