The Wranglers' first home game in five weeks and they lose. By a field goal. Arg. It was a great game, however... there was a good back-and-forth between Austin and the New York Dragons from the first seconds of the game. Came down to the last minute, too. Literally. Final score: Dragons 59 - Wranglers 56. It was nice to watch some football again. Most of the road games haven't been televised and therefore I've been football deprived again.
I'm counting the days until April first and the beginning of baseball season. I wanted to get season tickets to the Round Rock Express this year, but alas, I be po'. But that's okay, because seats behind home plate are only $12 and berm/outfield seats are only $6. And Tuesdays are $1 hot dog and Coke nights. Now the trick is finding people to go with me and finding money to go to as many games as I can. If anyone comes down here during the season and the Express are playing at home you need to go to a game. The park is awesome because it's small, yet lovely. Any seat in the park has a great view of the entire field, and even if you're in the back row you feel like you're sitting right up on the turf. And, of course, I'll be following the Astros and Cards like always, but I doubt I'll be able to catch one of their games as easily.
