Watching the inauguration of our 44th president today really struck a nerve. A good one.

In his speech he mentioned being able to help eachother by creating programs so that people can afford healthcare, use technology to make it more affordable and help people get jobs and careers that will help them live a better life.

I'm pretty sure of it now, academically I am where I want to be. Maybe not physically, who knows where my career will eventually take me, but I have the opportunity to administer a program that could potentially help a large group of people. I literally have two text books explaining the rights and wrongs of how a program should be run, and honestly I was beginning to feel restless. How much of an impact would a program be that helps poor students in the Homestead metropolitan area go back to school by providing school supplies, lunch and daycare? A big impact.

I feel like I've been focusing on the big picture too much. That program is helping the parents. These children NEED those supplies in order to facilitate learning, giving them the right chance. The parents are being given a break, and God knows everyone in the middle-working class need it. I think everyone is actualyl feeling the affects, whether you're applying for jobs, paying your bills, buying gas, or trying to buy groceries and fishing out the things you really don't NEED.

I can already start networking now... I already know people in DCF, it's jsut a matter of graduating, interning, and ultimately finding an entry level (or better) job in my field.... that's where I see myself in the next 2-4 years.
