tony's past?

NCIS is about to go digging around in Tony DiNozzo’s (Michael Weatherly) past.
Executive producer Shane Brennan confirms to me exclusively that a Spring episode will delve into DiNozzo’s life before he became an NCIS agent (and the object of Ziva’s unrequited lust).
“The episode will reveal much about DiNozzo’s past as a Baltimore cop,” previews Brennan. “And yes, we’ll hear the first words exchanged between DiNozzo and Gibbs. It’s a memorable first meeting.”
Not quite sure how I feel about this one. On the one hand, I love the idea of getting into some more of Tony's past. On the other hand, the infamous "first meeting" has been the topic of some of the best fic I've read, and it's fun to see where people go with it. I'm almost scared to leave it up to SB...
Although, the true relationship between Tony and his dad was the source of much fic as well, a good bit of which was rendered AU by "Flesh and Blood," and the creative fic writing seems to have continued.
Guess we'll have to wait and see. Either way, anything that develops Tony as a character is a step in the right direction!
On a vaguely related note (yeah, I'm reaching here), is it weird that I kinda want to find a screencap of Gibbs holding the baby from "Family" and make an icon out of it? And if it is, do I care? ;-)
