Thanks to an

omnomnom, I have made a cake this evening.
I don't bake much any more--just not enough room in the diet for having actual baked goods in the house to tempt me, and not enough other people around to take them off my hands--but this evening was just a convergence of craving and ingredients and the urge, so I did it.
It's part orange-flavored white cake and part fudgy dark chocolate cake. And it's surprisingly easy to make. My version substitutes gluten-free flour blend for the wheat flour and orange extract for the Cointreau, and went into a loaf pan instead of cupcakes.
I ate that slice. And another one. Now for a tin in which to hide the rest from myself!
