dine just tagged me for the color meme. You comment, I give you a color, and you make a post naming ten things you like in that color.
dine gave me scarlet, a color I barely relate to at all, so it's an interesting challenge.
Scarlet is defined as being a little on the orange side of pure red. But I'm just going for a generally vivid, brilliant red color. So here we go.
- Clyde. Duh.
- The Serenity Coat
- Benton Fraser's coat
- Vine maple leaves in autumn
- Some of Andy Goldsworthy's pieces
- Red twig dogwood
- The scarlet silk lining of my black and white herringbone tweed big-shouldered, raglan-sleeved, ankle-length 1995 winter coat, which I made. That was a hell of a coat.
- As long as we're tripping down memory lane, the red Thai silk Claude Montana massive shouldered, tight fitting, kick-ass-and-take-names sheath dress, which I also made, and how much do I love the internet??? Because I just found a picture of the exact pattern OMG look!
Picture that sleeveless version on the left in scarlet Thai silk on a 5'10" 29 year old with sleek dark hair pulled back into one of those Madonna hair cones. Those were the days, my friend. Scarlet is no country for old women. - This Indonesian pedicab, which I saw in the neighborhood a couple of weeks ago, was pretty cool.
- Red sky at night
