Yesterday I saw the revival of Company... and I must say that the concept really worked and it wasn't as distracting (or distracting at all, really) as I thought it would be. Jessica and I got student rush, which are 36.25... way too much for student rush, but we sat front row... The show was amazing. I didn't cry but I really did like it. The actors are all brilliant... Barbara Walsh was definitely one of my favorites. Raul Esparza was, of course, the best part of the show... that man deserves a Tony! His "Being Alive" at the end? Oh, I died. The rest of the cast was phenominal. I liked the lack of sets, and how they didn't actually eat / drink anything, but the miming of it worked so well.
Jess and I met some of the cast afterwards... Raul is a sweetheart. We got a picture together. Holler. Sometime before then, Jess realized she left her cell in the theatre and it was too late. We're going to the box office in a little bit this morning to see if we can get it sometime today. Hopefully someone turned it in.
A week from now, I'll be getting my stuff together to meet my van downstairs to go to Newark Airport and GO HOME! Oh my gosh, I need a break from life!
Today is a midterm for Voice Production / Speech. I'm ready though, so no nerves. I just need to look over the vowel scale before I go in. Sightsinging tonight... I can find out how embarrassingly badly I did last week (I made the worst, obvious mistakes ever). But then, at least, I'm going to the other residence to watch Grey's with Bret.
I have some mail and cards to write.
I also need to find three scenes to cold read on Monday. Outdoor NY specific site, 2 girl scene... I have some library time ahead of me.
Most of my Christmas shopping is done. I've got five of my friends from home and my mom covered (my dad's I can finish at home). I need to get something for Elyse and my brothers.
I had a fever / flu on Monday in classes (but I survived) and then I was in bed for 14 hours that night unable to move or barely breathe... yeah. Then Tuesday and yesterday have just been cold stuff. I think / hope going home will help clear that all up. But I don't feel as bad as Monday... thank GOD.
Thank you, dearest Kimmie for the card. It was my first Christmas card and you know how I adore Snoopy! *hugs*
