Christmas Eve...

So I decided to host a Christmas party this year again, after 3 years of hiatus.   I invited some friends and my parents invited some friends. We had a tree, presents, lights, chips, Chinese food, karaoke and a piano.   My friends came really early.  I don't know what smacked me in the head when I told them to come at 3pm when the party was supposed to go till midnight.  Some of us were really bored at first because the first thing I had them do was attempt Chinese karaoke.  My parents had spent the whole day trying to make that work.  It was only right to check it out.   Meh, we all failed pretty badly.  Next time I'm going to order JPop karaoke stuff on the internet.

It was overall pretty fun.  I admit we weren't as crazy as we were last time, but we still did some pretty interesting things.  As a tradition, we rehearsed some songs for the parents and we sang O Come All Ye Faithful, Ave Maria and In The Bleak Midwinter.  The best part was filming ourselves doing the music retreat domino thing in the snow.  I don't even know what it's called.  There was a whole load of singing and laughing and playing music involved.  I enjoyed it a lot.  Some people were really bored until we started sitting around and talking haha.

Now, holidays are reminders for me that time has passed by.  Have I done what I said I will have completed?  Where am I in the great road map of things?  I've always taken longer that I've expected to do things.  It's holidays like this that warn me to pick up my pace.  It's why I'm always afraid of holidays coming.  They are indicators that time has passed again.  It's this time of the year again.
