I'm not too stupid that I packed my wallet in with my purses or important papers.

But I'm not smart enough to remember that I put it in my suitcase knowing I was going to be keeping that with me the whole time.

Luckily I found it last night BEFORE having to rip through a bunch of packed boxes.

Ah, yes, the classic "lost by putting it someplace 'safe'". I've been bit by that many a time. What really gets me, though, is when I lose something I've put down within arms reach. I wrote up a couple illustrative anecdotes which I decided were good enough to post separately. Look for them shortly....
