I kept saying one day I'd update this thing more frequently

Well, why shouldn't one day be today?

I need to start writing more here anyway, and now is as good a time as any, right?

I'm feeling bizarre tonight; I don't want to read anything but I think I want to write, except not any of the things that I'm already actually, ya know, working on. I don't want to look at drawings, I want to draw, but I don't ( Read more... )

haha, CRAZY busy. I got transferred to cashier on my job, as there were no hours any more in the garden center because lol december who buys garden stuff in december.

Or at least in Utah, where it keeps snowing. It's kinda poinsettias or bust as far as the actual vaguely garden related things out there go these days. Anyway, between Black Friday and the general Christmas rush and the way that they have, for reasons beyond my comprehension, been scheduling me full time hours despite being a part time employee (especially when there are full time employees working less than half the hours I'm getting...) and trying to figure out my school schedule and where I'm going to live.... And then on top of that I keep on slamming my way through various fandoms (Bones, Buffy, Angel, Batman tas and related shows, some Batman comics, various DC movies, various other movies, Dollhouse) and writing lots and lots of fic things for a whole variety of subjects, and drawing things everywhere.

And then my mom is moving some time soon as well, which just means that we're trying to sell the house and....

SO YEAH. Preoccupied.

You?

Senior project, man. I'm writing about Dracula as a foreign symbol, The Vampyre in relation to Lord Byron and how it all links back to sex. I'm on page fifteen of that project, out of 45. And it has to be in by April 1st. Here's hoping!

I also started playing Carly at Route 29, but I really didn't want to play scoop shipping out. We kind of had a different sort of idea surrounding Carly and another character who would balance out her over the top...ness. Well, there's a Jack Atlas there and I got told I was doing it wrong because Carly and Jack aren't together. Which just made me raise an eyebrow. Oh, and cry. And then I explained everything and got some snide comments and it was beautiful. And by beautiful I mean the thread wound up locked and I just had this look on my face like ":o" It was funny because I just remember having a conversation with you about how Carly could easily have found someone else considering the time frame it took her to fall for Jack. And they just...didn't buy it. At all. Some people are crazy about whether or not it's canon. And then I played Trauma Team and that game is so much fun. I highly recommend it.

Other than that, I saw Black Swan. If they somehow come out with an edited version, it's definitely a movie you should look into. The entire film is based on Swan Lake.

Hehehe, Dollhouse. You finally got into it?

I watched the first season, and really enjoyed most of it.

Then I got to episode 13, aka the crazy future episode bit, and it managed to quite neatly kill any interest I had in the show in about 20 minutes. I didn't even make it all the way through, man. I just sort of went :D

And all before I'd gotten halfway through the episode. I tried watching season 2 when I saw that they had it for instant view on netflix and got about halfway through the first episode of that too. No further, though. Just... meh.
