Ah, winter

So today was a semi-remarkable event - not 'remarkable' in that it's so unusual, but 'remarkable' in that I am remarking on it because it was the first (this semester) of what will doubtless be many. Today was the first morning where it was cold enough that, when you went outside and took a nice deep breath, all your nose hairs froze instantly. May I also remark, for those of you who have never felt this, that it is a remarkably odd feeling? Kinda tacky or gummy or something. I dunno. So I bundled up like I often do in winter up here. I should get pictures sometime, as I suppose it's kinda funny. I have on my coat and my scarf all around my face and my hat all pulled down and so usually the most that anyone would ever be able to tell about me is that my hair is brown. Sometimes you might not even see that. I am a person-shaped bundle of clothing, with like a half inch sliver from the bottom of my hat to the top of my scarf, as I huddle down and try not to expose myself to the temperatures that frequently leave your hair white with ice if you breath too much on it.

In other news I have my schedule sorted out now (or I hope I do), I am going to kill myself with drawings this semester because I'm trying to get together a portfolio to try and get into an animation program at the end of the semester, and then on top of that I'm trying to learn French. Consequently I am making odd sounds that kinda like 'eeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww' all over the place as I try to master pronunciation of 'u' which really HAS no english equivalent and so is kinda hard to tell from 'e' (which is pronounced uuu) for those who haven't had their ears trained from a young age for such.

Je suis très fatigué.

LUCKILY I don't have classes on Friday, so whee I'm out for the weekend and can go back to studying skeletal anatomy and figuring out what I need to buy and writing papers and stuff. I also decided that it's nice to be out pretty early on Thursday. I'm glad I changed my schedule.

OH AND ALSO.

Star Trek (as in the original series as in back in 1960 there was this sci-fi show YES THAT ONE I HAVE BEEN WATCHING IT) is awesome and Wrath of Khan is awesome (first movie sucks) and SPOCK IS AMAZING I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY HE TOTALLY IS. Only problem is that I can't find the third movie anywhere. Um. Anyone have any safe links where I could get it? Preferably online stuff though, since my laptop is kinda broken....

brb drawing, art, i must be mad, lol my life, school, *puts all her skill points into language
