Okay, so, 4 seconds ago I posted, in a really bad mood...but something just made it SO much better.
Lindsay read my "Bend" piece, and this is what she said about it...

Lindsay: wow... okay, comment in a minute. i NEED to read it AGAIN
Lindsay: Give them the power over you. It is the strongest weapon you could use to make them weak. Cloud their minds with the knowledge of your control, and in the myst is where you will hide true intentions.
Lindsay: and also "silent, but far from empty meanings"
Lindsay: those two caught my eye on both readings
Me: in a good or bad way?
Lindsay: i LOVE that dana, i may usually always like things-- but i LOVE this. i was reading so fast cos i was so caught up in it that i missed things, thats why i went back a second time. it moves so fast and then you get to the end of "Bend-- so they do not break you" and I just stopped dead in my tracks and started thinking
Lindsay: the control of the reader that has is incredible

Me: Never heard that before about my writing.
Lindsay: a lot of writers cant capture that speed. i know it sounds stupid, but sometimes in Lyn's stories (just cos i know you can semi-relate even if you dont rad it anymore) there are certain scenes or parts that i cant read fast enough to take it all in... its like i just want it all ASAP and it wont come quick enough... thats what that piece did for me
Lindsay: in all honesty, my heart sped up throughout it and then when i got to the end it just stopped.
