"Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know."

I went and played a very expensive round of golf today.  But it was well worth it and a blast.  I played at Bearna Golf Club which is about 15 minutes east of the town center with my roommate Troy.  The course was beautiful and after a morning shower it cleared up and was a nice day.  Not counting the unholy winds that toyed with us all day.  It was layed out over the bay and near a large lake.  The views of the bay, islands, and mountains made the course a joy to play.  The course was covered in yellow wildflowers that you'll see in the pictures below but it was also surronded by rocks.  It was almost like playing on a desert course, with the only grass in the area being on the course itself.  Ireland is pretty much all rock near the Galway area.

The first nine....oh lets not talk about the first nine.  But during the back nine, I seemed to find a resemblence of a golf game and put some nice pars and bogeys up.  I was rather proud of myself for my first time out this year especcially with rented clubs and the high winds.  But no matter what I shot, which I'm not sure what that was, because the front nine scores conviently got lost, I would have had a great time. Also, I beat Troy,...he he its so nice to be a winner.
