I'm sorry your sick Boss, but would it make you feel better to know that this chapter was so sweet, even with the bit of sadness, that I'm gonna need to see the dentist for teeth rot? I adored this chapter! Especially that last bit about Jethro stepping in for Jethro. Ok, and the sing-along. And the toy rule. And the Papa Bear taking care of Tia and Tim. Will beg and grovel in complete adoration for more!
Thanks, hon. Sorry about the teeth. Yeah, I had fun with this chapter, as I'm sure you can tell. As Tim discovers the joys of fatherhood, Gibbs is rediscovering them also.
So I found this late, since I got a new puppy on Saturday and have been preoccupied with her. So glad to see another story in this series. You packed so much goodness into a single chapter. The developing relationship between Gibbs, McGee and Tia is beginning to take shape nicely, and the grandmother is just odious. I love Jethro standing in for Jethro and Chuck E. Cheese and singing in the car. I always love the way you write the team dynamic as well. All in all a slightly sad but very beautiful chapter. Nice to see you racking up your word count, too. I can't wait for more.
Thank you. I had so much fun with this chapter and mostly for the points you mentioned.
Love new puppies. Combining households means that I live with a dog again. Bella is a sweetheart, but she has not mastered the art of walking on hardwood floor. It's pretty much skitter, skitter, thud. The funniest part is that she can't bark effectively. Sitting on the wood floor, every time she barks, it pushes her back about six inches. She barked at the new mailman long enough that she ended up in the dining room.
I know what you mean. I couldn't stand the quiet in the house after my sweet dog, Patty passed away. The new puppy definitely eases that a little. I love the barking story. Bridie doesn't quite have her coordination yet. She falls over or winds up spinning in a circle when she tries to scratch.
Yep, I lost Nanook this last year and it was hard to come home to a dog-free house. Even the cat spent weeks looking for him. Hopefully, Birdie will become more coordinated. I'm afraid Bella is a lost cause.
I'm really digging this series. I love that Tiana's a little biracial girl - it adds depth (the part in an earlier story about her hair was SO on the money!!!). I'm looking forward to the next installment.
