Funny things I saw today
The guys that live up here in Harlem (that's a way of saying black guys without sounding racist) are fucking crazy about the new nike jordans. I guess they aren't really new anymore but whatever. Everyone is nuts for them. So today I see this guy get on the train who is wearing a t shirt with a picture on it of a pair of all white jordans. But it's like a 3D picture with real laces and leather and even the ankle buckle made to stick out. It was a very well made shirt even if it was kinda stupid. But then I looked down and realized this motherfucker was wearing the same shoes that were depicted in his t-shirt. He bought a shirt with a picture of his shoes on it, and then wore them together.
Ok second thing, People have a lot of different ways of coping with the heat in the city. Having to walk around in the hot all day is really suck. So a lot of guys and some women care around napkins or bandanas to wipe sweat off their foreheads. But apparently that was not enough for the man working for ConEdison. I walked by this dude working on some kind of electric problem in the street and he had a kitchen sponge strapped to his forehead.
Now this may make me mean or racist or both but the third thing I saw today was a black girl walking down the street who appeared to have suffered a stroke because her lips sagged and kind of turned out in a way that made her look like she was wearing black face.
