Dreaming
Sleepily drifting upon the winged dreams of night, eyelids flickering in the depths of time and space. An image appears within the misty realm of my thoughts. The visage is blurry and shadowed, though the figure appears to be male. A strong hand reaches down toward my own, and I grasp it. I don't know who this person is, but by the simple body language I am not afraid. Or maybe its simply that in dreams, we do not fear? We are willing to take more risks than in normal life?
We acsend a set of stairs, taking the steps one by one. The face watches mine, and I watch his. We glide slowly, effortlessly toward the top. Where do they end? Do they ever end? For some reason I feel so blissful, so...happy. So enlightened. I don't much care whether the stairs ever end or not, I would happily walk with the figure into eternity.
My heart is beating fast. Tell me you love me. Tell me you care. Tell me you need me. My mind is running in circles, wondering what to do to keep you. Forever. Nobody said this was easy, but I never knew that telling you my feeling could be this hard.
"I love you..."
The words litter the air, as if all that is left in the universe is you, me, and the simple three words that had been spoken. Once they left my mouth, I was able to let them glide over my tongue as easy as a reflection in a mirror.
"I love you, I love you, I love you..."
The images fade, and my mind goes blank. I am alone again...or so it seems. I roll over in my bed, feeling warmth against my side. I open my eyelids. The face that lays beside my own...
My dream...
It was you. You all along. Why do dreams disguise what we know best, and what we want to see? Why can we not always realize that our deepest feelings about people in our lives tend to create dreams of splendor, and yet we never know who the figures in our dreams are? Why is it that the people we love the most never want to be known in our dreams? Or is it the suprise and dejavou of seeing them your next waking moment? Is that the reason fate is not always kind enough to allow us complete images in our dreams?
I slowly sit up in bed, staring blankly--happily--out the window at the stars. "Look at the stars...look at how they shine for you..." You toss and turn in bed, coming up behind my body. Slowly turning me around, I see your face, know your smile. The bliss in my heart steals away any depressing thought. If I could keep this moment for my entire life, I would feel fufilled. This is all I need. This is all I want. To be here.
Here with you.

With thoughts soley of you,

Make you smile and make you laugh.

Still holding you close and near.
Through my eyes I see your face,
Eyes sparkling in the light;
I can see that with this pace,
I will love you for un-ending nights.
Please just let me know you care,
That you will love me and never leave.
That you will always be there,
Because my love for you is neverending.

My reverie, my dreams

Knee-deep in bliss;
Thoughts keep moving so fast

The tingling inside,
Telling you not to hide,

Feelings bring upon grins,
Smiles, and little smirks.
When I think of you
And all your quirks,
I see the light once more.
My love for you
Is all I need
To get me through the day,
And in the night
We rest our heads;
