Okay...so currently there are a lot of issues happening involving the visa paperwork and stuff that Antoine and I need to do. A lot of what we hoped would work won't, so we are kinda looking at our back-up plans in case the first set of paperwork falls through. These back-up plans include flying to another country for 2 days just to visit and then come back to Australia, so that my current ETA visa is reset for another 3 months. Here is our current list of possibilities for travel (all include hotel accomadations for the two days and round trip flight):
Bangkok, Thailand (BKK) - $900 per person
Singapore (SIN) - $805 per person
Hong Kong (HKG) - $1121 per person
Kathmandu, Nepal -
Tokyo, Japan (NRT) -
Medan/Sumatra, Indonesia -
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - $1010 per person
Manila, Phillippines - $1120 per person
Bali, Indonesia - $1180 per person
So, the current choices rests on what is overall, going to be cheapest. Mind you, all the prices are in Australia currency, so for me, it will tech. only cost about $600 of my money for say, Singapore, and about $700 for Bangkok. See, the thing is, we may have to try to student visa again, instead of partner visa, because both Antoine and I don't want to feel like we HAVE to be pushed into marraige unless thats what we both want.
Say we figure out the student visa will work, and all, but I just can't get it in the amount of time that is needed before my current visa expires, then we can fly somewhere more expensive, somewhere we actually want to see. But if we find out the student visa won't work, and we still have to do the partner one, then we will have to choose cheapest travel, because that means we may have to fly out every 3 months until I have been living with him for 12 months, otherwise the paperwork might not work. (There are a lot of catches and small print on this goddamn paperwork)
So, for all of those out there who know me or are friends with me, here is your chance to help us out. Choose the place you thik we should go to if we end up having no problem with my visa stuff, and tell me why we should go there. Mind you, the places without prices are extremely high cost, so they are only possibilities, but probably not probable. Also, give us the choise of where we should go if we can't get my paperwork done not, out of some of the cheaper places, and tell me why.
Thanks for your time. <3
