Don't worry, I wanted to do this for you. [He grins, setting a large roast goose on the table, which is already crowded with mashed potatoes, green beans, yams, and everything else for a fantastic Christmas dinner.] I'm good at cookin', yeah?

Since when? [teases, poking Lavi's arm and looking eagerly at the goose] Be careful, I might just chain you in the kitchen and get you to make everything for me.

[smirks, leaning in for a kiss to Allen's cheek] Chain me up in the kitchen with just an apron on, hmm?

Then you might get a draft and just get distracted. [leans up to nip at Lavi's earlobe then goes to get the rest of the food to set on the table] Thank you, Lavi. For making a wonderful dinner, I mean. I might tease you but you do know how to cook.

[Oh hey, look at the appropriate timing for her to materialize.]

Nice boyfriend Lavi Ritualistic feasting on the carcasses of a harvest well met.. [Leans over the table and gets into a staring contest with the mashed-potatoes]

[to Allen] Oh, I think you'd distract me enough. [grins and pulls away as River enters]

Hey, lil' sis. Ready to eat?

[Looks up at them both with wide eyes... icons]

I wouldn't call it a ritual. [smiles lightly at Lavi then pulls out a seat, pausing for a moment] Did you celebrate Christmas where you come from, River?

[starts carving up the goose, putting large slices on Allen's plate and a smaller portion on River's and his own] Yeah, what's your world like? We ain't talked much 'bout that.

[Oh crap, small talk..... focusing]

It's... better when it's good, worse when it isn't, and never settled on one or the other. [Nods. Oh hey there food, and Mr. I-have-white-hair-but-I'm-a-teenager, she's gonna be oggling at you now]

That doesn't sound that different from our own. [notices the staring and shifts slightly but he's pretty used to getting stared at by now - just wait until he starts eating] I guess most worlds are like that. Not everything stays good forever.

[passes the mashed potatoes around] Guess we all got somethin' in common, yeah? [waves at the food] C'mon, eat up! Got presents later.

[She sits down neatly at the table, looking around at all the food curiously.]

[Totally gonna Kanda Yuu it up and just get a pile of green beans and ONLY green beans damnitall! and start to munch quietly]

You really didn't need to get me anything, Lavi. [starts piling the food on his plate, clearly more than any normal human could eat] All I need is right here. [eyes River's plate a moment] Is that all you're going to have? You should try some of this goose. It smells and looks really good.
