[Lavi is wandering into the town out of the forest, looking dazed and disoriented. His clothes are dirty and torn, though he doesn't seem to be hurt.

Reaching the fountain, he sits, staring at the water, a confused look on his face.]

[looks up at him slowly] I... I dunno. Can't remember. Was I gone?

[puts his head in his hand, grimacing] I was gonna make dinner for Allen... was headin' into the kitchen... I heard... somethin'. [closes his eye, swaying a little, even though he's sitting down]

Next thing I know I'm out here. [grips his hair with both hands] What's happening? I don't forget... I never forget anythin'... I can't...
