He'd been warned about this one. Not to face him alone, not to show a lick of weakness, and never ever to fight when he could've run.
Too bad Tidus was terrible at following the rules.
Or rather, it was very good for Sephiroth. Especially when it was so easy to slice that ridiculous outfit to shreds (though it seemed that someone had already started on it before he even attempted it). Leaving the young man in nothing but those red boxer briefs, he actually paused to remove his gloves before going further. He wanted to to feel that shivering skin, now marked by a thousand thin cuts of his blade. But what left him - perfect as he was - completely aghast was the lack of blood.
The youth's body was not painted with the deep red as he expected, but sparkling with energy that clung for but a moment and then fluttered off into the night. He'd only seen that on his own world, when the clones of friends - no, betrayers - had fallen on ( ... )
