Bill and I are watching the Boston-Buffalo hockey game... Rick Jeanneret went psychotic after a 2-on-1 Boston attempt on the goal--which the Buffalo goalie, Ryan Miller, blocked by an amazing stroke of luck. The announcer is hilarious to listen to--I could become a Sabers fan just to listen to the guy.

This ice thing is no fun. Pretty, but no fun.

I just made amazing soup--North African Cauliflower soup from the Moosewood cookbook. It's wonderful! Creamy, but without cream. 98 calories per 8oz. too. Last night, I created this short rib meat sauce inspired by Giada DiLaurentis on the Food Network... I've missed cooking! I'm also going to hit up the local stitch-n-bitch group on Tuesdays at Professor Java's. I am a domestic goddess, hear me roar! How in the world could I think that life in front of a TV is more entertaining than churning out wonderful food or thoughtful knitted goods?

In other (not at all) exciting news--I'm finally, FINALLY reading the Harry Potter series. Finally. I'm glad I waited until now--at least we have the book set at my disposal, rather than playing the read-and-wait game.

Duke is a very funny cat. He tried to do a long-distance jump up onto the bookshelf and failed miserably, landing on the edge of the shelf with his belly. He hopelessly tried to dig his claws in as he slid down, but it didn't work well. Now, he's sprawled out in his too-small kitty bed--it's very funny, like a basketball player in a kid's bed.

New internship starts tomorrow. Joy!
