God, thank you! Some of my best friends are editors of the brutal, hack n'slash variety. While they've never read my fic, they have impressed upon me a certain fear of unnecessary verbiage. So I'm glad my style seems clean!

Many good things in this chapter, but this has to be among my favorites:
Xander’s journey of self-exploration began and ended in Oxnard. But what it lacked in poetry it made up for in recreational drug use, morally questionable behavior and sex with an exotic dancer named Chad.
Ah, youth.
