Omg I freaking bawled at the end. I haven't cried that much since I saw Brokeback. I loved it, like really really loved it. The movie was so awesome. My roommate loves Fitzgerald (or as we call him around the apartment, F. Scott.) So I had seen a bit of the graphic novel and knew the gist kind of, but this was amazing.
Like the whole thing was really good and I ususally don't like Cate Blanchett but holy crap she did really amazing.
This movie makes me understand why chicks thought Brad Pitt was so hot. I mean all he had to do was de-age 15-20 years and grow his hair out, lighten it and omg he's SO hot. Seriously.
I absolutely loved the ending and just thinking about it makes me tear up. The part where he is talking about what everyone is meant to do... amazing.
This movie was such a call out to Fitzgerald, the somewhat flighty chick named Daisy, the sun coming up over the dock(the light at the end of the dock), the aging frustrated ballerina, having an affair with an english chick, I mean it was totally a love letter to Fitzgerald and to New Orleans.
But anyhow, I loved it and I whole heartedly recommend this movie. Omg watch it like now.
