Okay, so I'm like obsessed with this song, 'Fools In Love' by Inara George on the Grey's Anatomy soundtrack.
What it is, is I was reading this fic, Thirty-Two Flavors by trollprincess and the fic is amazing. It's Supernatural and it's Dean's life summed up into 32 short little snippets. It's like your flipping around the channels of Dean's life, flipping around on DeanTV, and anyway so each little snippet ends in a dash and runs into the next snippet.
Example:
Maybe that's why he couldn't ever bring himself to stop hunting, he reasons sometimes. Because he's been there and done that, and there's --

-- this girl walking across the quad, thin and dark and gorgeous, striding through the crowd with this indignant sort of purpose like she owns the whole goddamn campus.
So that's how it is, and each snippet ends with a dash and begins with a dash, except the last snippet. And so I was reading this fic, really liking it, and I get to the second or third to last snippet and 'Fools In Love' pops up on my playlist. So the tone of this fucking song is amazing. I'm reading reading reading and I get to the last snippet of the fic and I'm not listening to the words of the song, only the tone and tears come to my eyes because of how beautiful and perfect everything fits together.

So I got to the end of this fic and the tone of the song is like this weird fairytale dream and it just gets to me. The whole fic progresses throughout Dean's life until he's like current age, but the very very last snippet is when Dean was four, after his mother burns in the fire and he's curled up in a hotel bed next to Sam and he kisses Sam on the forhead and the music and everything is just so amazing that I start to cry because some of the lyrics just fit. And how amazing is it that the last snippet, the one that matters most is the one that ends the fic. Like there is no more dashing because Sam is the end for Dean. The lyrics that play while I'm reading that last part are:

And the tone and everything is just perfect, it goes so beautifully because it's like 'And from now on everything you do is just for Sammy' and all Dean is is Sam and the very end is just like, Dean can go anywhere and be anything and do whatever, but all that matters and all he is is with Sam, and his love for Sam. It's just so fucking perfect and the whole thing is just like this odd little music video in my head that makes my heart hurt because it's just amazing.
I just needed to get that out because every time I hear this song I start to tear up and I keep envisioning this perfect little Dean movie in my head.
