Awkward was a mild word to describe that dinner. Brenda and I were still rattled by the conversation we'd just eavesdropped on. Sam looked like he wanted to be somewhere else which was kinda the main reason for the awkwardness and he avoided looking in my direction. And in Cole's for that matter.

How could Sam ever befriend people that are so optionated? He must have been desperate to get away from everything that reminded him in any way of his former life to fall for these idiots

He was desperate for "normal" and he wanted to fit in. Now the situation is completely different.

Dean manipulating Sam? Pfft! As if. all those years with Sam and his friends never caught on to headstrong he is? Gawd, you're killing me with that cliffhanger! If you ask me we need more than one Saturday per week.

Great update (and cliffhanger--you can always tell it's a good cliffhanger when you shout "NOOOO!" when you reach the end, lol). I can see the group collectively telling Cole to shut up sometime in the future. And I like that Sam's friends are still concerned about him. Nosy is, after all, how we normal folks can be ;)

Yeah, I'd probably be the same in their shoes. I'm very protective of my friends (probably more than I should be), so if I thought something hinky was going on, I'd probably unwisely try to investigate all Veronica Mars style :D
