Nice day

It is such a beautiful day to sit around in your apartment with the a/c off and the windows open, drinking coffee and looking at photoshopped movie posters on fark.com in your pj's. Seriously, does it get any better? Today is Saturday, my 2nd of 4 days off from work for a camping trip with the fam that didn't end up happening. No matter, I really don't mind just having the time off to maybe clean my apartment and do laundry for once.
The weather is just so nice right now--it's like a lovely mix of fall and summer when the air feels like room temperature outside. I've been up for a couple of hours now, and I think that early morning is my favorite part of the day. Everything seems so clean and quiet; it's like the world is ready to start over again. You know those little blurbs on the back of Starbucks cups called The Way I See It? Well, they're usually interesting enough to glance at as you take the first sip of your coffee, but not so much after that. However, a week or two ago I was at Starbucks relativly early in the morning (7am or so) doing homework and reading and the message on that particular cup was so wonderful that I read it over and over. It was by Rufus Wainwright and it goes as follows (I cut it out and stuck it on my refrigerator): All humans realize they are loved when witnessing the dawn: early morning is the triumph of good over evil. Absolved by light we decide to go on.
After a whole day and night of dealing with Bell road traffic, bad drivers, rude customers, and just the hectic go-go attitude of everyone and everything around me on a daily basis, to nourish that thought was very comforting.
