Well only a few things have happened in the past few days. On Thursday I got back my results from my Skills USA Regional Test. I qualified for Adobe Photoshop which is art for those that don't know. I am kind of surprised that I made it since I didn't really even try. So yeah that is cool and all but I'm not sure if I want to or can go down state and see if I can win that. It just so happens that the same weekend of the state competition I have the biggest track invite of the season which happens to be at Rock Island. I'm not sure which I should go to. On one hand I have this art competition that I could win and go to Nationals and get scholarships. But on the other hand I have a huge track invite that is supposed to be really fun because we take a coach bus. I would be letting the track team down in a way if I didn't go to the invite but I would be letting Mr. E and my art teacher down if I didn't compete down state. I tried to see if I could pull both off but Springfield and Rock Island are just too far away. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? I have a new English teacher. This would be my third English teacher of the year. My last one resigned and I think moved to New York. I'm going to miss her. She was really nice and a lot of fun now I have this teacher who is almost as old as the school and so boring. At least I only have less then a semester left. I'm going to try and switch back to my first teacher but I don't know if that will be possible. So tomorrow I have a pretty big track invite. It is the biggest indoor track invite at least. I have to be at school by 8AM for it and I won't be back till mid to late afternoon which sucks. A lot of the biggest schools are going to be there and it is at Thornwood which happens to be state champions 4 years in a row. Hopefully I do well at it, I am really nervous. After the invite my dad's side of the family is coming over to celebrate my birthday. This is going to suck. I am not going to get into it but my dad's family and I never go over well. I'm not even sure why they even bother to come. If you really want to know what is going on with me and the family ask but besides that I am not going to put it in here. I am working for the first time in about a month on Sunday. Everyone thinks I quit my job so they are going to be surprised when I show up. I heard they hired a bunch of new people so half the people won't even recognize me. Oh well I'll have to show them how it is really done because of course I'm the best...right mike? Next week I only have school on Tuesday. Monday is of course a holiday so we get the day off, and on Wednesday I have a workshop at Prairie State to go to so I get out of school :). So on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I am going to be at U of I. That is going to be pretty fun I hope. There is an open house and the National Society of Black Engineers is running a program and I applied and got accepted which is kind of weird but I don't care I get to go down and state in the dorms for free for the weekend. Oh yeah for track I have to sell cookie dough for $11 for a big tin does anyone want to buy any? Later
