(no subject)
Well this has been quite a few days. Matt and Shella came over the weekend and everyone was sick...but we still had tons of fun. I'm coming down this weekend which should be extremely exciting. I'm actually suprising my mom, so she doesnt know I'm coming home yet. That should be really awesome. I'm close to totally booked for this weekend but if you wanna hang out, leave a comment and let me know when and where. The whole boston trip is up in the air right now...Ryan's grandma is sick so we dont know if he'll be able to go up, but we'll wait and see. I'm actually planning on going to church today, ash wednesday, for the first time since I've been up here. I'm also going to try and give up something for lent, all regualar soda, meaning I can have diet but no regular. I went shopping this last weekend with Shell and Matt and got quite a few things. I got a new purse (I know like I need it), and Rancid (sick sick world) shirt, a (black and hot pink) emo star pin, new earrings (which I havent gotten in yet), and I think thats it.
Ok now...I had a disagreement with someone about the honors society here at FSU...They claimed it was called a sorority rather than a fraternity and I disagreed. I researched to make sure I was correct before saying anything else. I found that for the most part it is just called an honors society but it is considered to be a greek fraternity. What I found is below.
Is Phi Eta Sigma a social fraternity?
Although some chapters have social events, we are not a social fraternity. There is a dignified induction ceremony to which your parents and friends may be invited. Most chapters have projects and activities promoting academic excellence, but your participation is optional.
