Plus, I'm adding a little twist to mine. You get to have a little story of how I went around to get my hands on that specific song, and what it means to me.
1.
Pete Murray - So BeautifulOkay, so I think I've talked about this song before. Often, even. It was a song sent to me completely randomly in exchange of a song I had in my library. I don't know the guy who sent it to me, but I thanked him time and time again. I listened to this song once, so I could evaluate if I could like it or not. Then, I judged I could give it another chance, so I listened to it another time and ended it putting it on loop for a good hour or so. Serious. I fell in love with it. It's a beautiful sad song.
2.
John Denver - Annie's SongI acquired this song while I was making my "Dad's music" CD. I love to listen to songs my dad introduced me to, because... I'm a daddy's girl and I love the memories that are attached to it. When I chose this song, I had my father with me who was suggesting songs and putting the album in the stereo so I could get a preview and decide after that. As he put this song from John Denver's album, he told me that my mother loved listening to this song a lot. It was all it needed really, to fall in love with it. Not only is the song inviting, now I get this image of my mom at twenty years old in her flannel shirt and it makes me smile.
3.
The Hollies - The Air That I Breathe4.
Gillbert O'Sullivan - Alone Again (Naturally)Those two songs deserve to be explained together because, well, they are taken from the same CD. The Virgin Suicides soundtrack. I've read the book, I've listened to the soundtrack, now the only thing that's really left for me is to actually watch the film. There is a very distinct atmosphere accompanying the story, and I have to say that the songs were very wisely chosen and portray that sort of sad and other dimension-ish feeling. Kind of. Yeah. Magnifique.
5.
McFly - She Left MeI am very very much into McFly nowadays, so I thought it was only logical that I include one of their songs. Why did I choose this one? Well, um... I don't know. Because, it's one that I've had no problem singing along with, and while usually that goes with the upbeat ones, these days I've been skipping those sort of songs a lot. So, I chose this pretty breakup song.
6.
Marc Dupre - Qu'est-ce Que T'as Fait De MoiI've also been into Marc Dupre a lot since he got into the musical scene and released a CD. Some are possibly even fed up about me mentioning him, but eh, I'm still talking! I know his music is mostly all cheese, but I never said that was a bad thing. I chose this one, because I had to chose one but I like all of his songs from his CD... so, um, I thought this one could go with the recurring theme we have here. Talking about drinking because he's lonely and such. Sad song, though lovely.
7.
Michael Buble - You Don't Know MeUm. I don't know why I chose this one? I was running out of tune because lately there's like a dozen hundreds I still listen to everytime they come on my shuffle, but I so often play some Buble that I couldn't not include him. This song I chose, as it's my favourite lately.
Now, if you download all of these songs and listen to them, or if you've read my commentaries, can you guess what sort of mood I'm in? Yeah, a sort of dull kind of mood, right? Hehe, I'm so easily influenced. About things outside of my life really. Or, somewhat. Yes, but anyway.
Have yourself a beautiful evening and I hope that the day tomorrow will start wonderfully!
