Good luck on the job interview!

We didn't have Deadwood this week. I don't know why. I've been too distracted by spoilers and the Con to check out HBO's schedule, but I miss my fix!

I’m only up to episode 4, so I’m still trying to catch up before the new season starts. I’m glad Brian likes it, there are so few shows we both like.

Just on a whim yesterday I called H&R Block - because I am a total math geek - I used to work for H&R back in the 90’s. I really didn’t feel like going back (instead of forward) career wise but I need to work right now, I need some focus other than QAF - I’m only half joking - The woman I spoke to said they weren’t hiring but I could come in and drop off a resume today. While I was waiting in the reception area she called H&R where I used to work and the woman there gave me such a wonderful recommendation, that I had a job before I was even interviewed. It will be just until May 1st but that’s great and I like having my own money!
I start training tomorrow and on my own time in the next four days I need to take a refresher Basic Income Tax course. 250 pages of theory, followed by 150 pages of questions followed by an exam - in the office Monday morning. No pressure!

I'm numb to the dreadful language in Deadwood now and I also detest the word cunt. *shudders*

The Seth/Wild Bill dynamic was so great. I was heartbroken to see it end so early into the show. I knew that Wild Bill died in Deadwood fairly soon after his arrival but I had hoped that he would be around for most of the first season.

His death sets up some great scenes in the next couple of episodes. There's one scene in particular, I think at the end of the next episode, that is just beautifully shot. I've watched it a dozen times and it never fails to move me to tears...

I'm so glad you're enjoying this show!
