Well I just got home today from Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and I don't think I like being back. I wish I could be anywhere but here this summer. Work blows. There is never ever anything to do. But then again, I think I would miss my friends wayy to much and couldn't possibly spend any more time away. So being home definitely maintains its advantages.
We left Thursday and I spent the last 5 days catching up with my entire family. I sure miss our huge family reunions at the lake every summer. Just about everyone made it. The weather was perfect. Spent everyday racing on sea-doo's, tubing, boat rides to party cove, sunbathing at the pool or just floating in the water. Anchorman just always happened to be on so the entire weekend we would quote random lines whenever we felt the need ...'baxter, you know i dont speak spanish' and 'hi-ohh' became a very common expression. My cousin and I got our kicks from disgusting men that would try and pick us up at the marina pump. You wouldn't believe the kind of people you can meet on the lake. Me and my other underage cousin tried desperately to get served at bars with nno such luck. Good laughs.
The nights were filled with more boat rides, but also more drinking, grilling out and making smores. True summer behavior.
The atmosphere there is just perfect too. The houses are tucked away by trees, surrounded by deck patios and cintronella candles. Everyone is sunkissed from spending the day in the sun. Soo buggy outside, but extremely cold air conditioning as soon as you step inside, perfect sleeping weather. Everybody just lives to be outside. I love it.
We went and saw Wedding Crashers..... soooo funny! You gotta see it. And Rachel McAdams is absolutely adorable.
I even got to see Craig (cancun) tooo!!! Even if it was for a split second. That was my only let-down for the weekend. He was soo busy in Jefferson City he only made it down for one night. I still got to see him though and got some hugs so I guess I can't complain.
Can you believe Tropical Storm Emily?! I can't believe its' hit cancun. My one true love. I'm flattered to share a name with a storm but I can't believe anything by the name of 'emily' would act in such a way. lol. As if I didn't tear Cancun up enough in June, now my tropical storm has got to do it. lol. im sucha dork.
I'll be moving my stuff down to college in less than a month!! Can you believe it!?
Ohh... and Nicole, if you ever read this, I ran into a boy from Washington in the Ozarks. He was your age, but I completely forget his name. I thought of you though!!
....I wish the world was flat like the old days, so I could travel just by folding a map....
