hmm. saturday night at poplife. what a time to be had... i guess.
a chaos of lights and melody swirled around the oakwood dance floor. scores of couples and lone wolves trampled the night away. the air was buzzed, i had indulged the last of the hero that grady had given to me for free the night before.
getting lost and adrift in a slew of 80's tunes isn't so bad.
rebecca from work and her friend attended. giselle and veronica didn't. sheer dissapointment. i basically spent half of my night dancing alone (i'm a really shy person by nature, i guess one would've guessed long ago), and the other half floating in and out of conversation with two of the most talkative souls i had ever traversed upon.
the night before that, the dogma group went over to dustin's for a pretend barbecue, found dustin and his better half well inebriated. sooooo... we decided to get our semi-unhinged selves over to mike's bar at the venetian, home of the hit parade jukebox (which still has a couple of decent tunes to churn out), the seven dollar pitcher of "sam", and the charmingly lopsided pool tables. we had fun, me, veron, gis, john, steve, grady, blinky, and all.
next stop. players' lounge. the gameworks kiosk of overtown.
chip got us all in for free, and even slung us a couple of free $5 game cards on the side. more pitchers of watered down tap swill were purchased. many a game of pac-man and galaga ensued, that being the most affordable game our temporarily broke asses could muster. regardless, it was a fun 19202 rounds for us all.
our party ended at six in the morn and i passed out in sheer exhaustion.
