after melissa got onto the trolley to head back down to water st. and i began walking back to palladium i had a realization that made me jump in the air and start skipping...literately..i realized:
I LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY!!
so of course i had to go get starbucks! ;) i love walking down the street and seeing the empire state building!!
so tonight melissa and i went and saw "forbidden NYU" - for my second year in a row! (college of arts and science theater group puts on a show where they rewrite broadway songs to mock NYU! i was just reading last year's entry after the show and i wrote all the songs - but this year there were new ones!! melissa and i had the best time watching and listening to the songs - and relating to most of them!! new songs for this year:
"people, it's over" based on "tell her i love her" from urinetown
--about the people protesting pres. sexton last year
"at water street" - "under the sea", little mermaid
--awesome since melissa IS at water street!
"i'll beat them all" - "i want it all", baby
--the pre-meds wanting to be the best
"bureaucracy" - "good morning baltimore", hairspray
--about how nyu's bureaucracy sucks :)
"the ballad of the burrito" - "man of la mancha"
--okay this one was a bit lame except for the awesome costumes
"on my own" - "on my own", les miserables
--AWESOME!! basically about how no one at NYU likes george bush AT ALL! this one girl sang a song about she was the only one who loves g.bush
"study abroad" - "anything goes", anything goes
--all the options nyu has!
"the straight guy song" "carrying the banner", newsies
--how there are 12 girls to each straight guy at NYU but since NYU girls are different from others they don't like the weird guys who are actually straight - they also mentioned how TISCH girls were the most desperate ha!!
it was just so muh fun!! last weekend was amazing!! staying up til 7am with nichi josh and aaron after suitemates' bday party, saw mary budzn (in town), it was just awesome! :)
i just realized that michael (my little brother) is a senior in high school...wow...
