Excerpts from an interview I'm reading.
What can people expect to see when they come to the festival?
ShazamFest is a multi-disciplinary arts and music festival. Things that you can expect to see at ShazamFest; music of all kinds from electronic to punk and classical to reggae, dancing, audio-visual arts, wrestling, burlesque, circus workshops and
performances. There will be a diversity of workshops from forging to organic farming as well as skateboard demos and competitions. All of this and more in a beautiful rural setting in a natural amphitheater with a river as a backdrop.
What do you hope to gain from this event?
Lots of smiles and maybe a livelihood.
What do you hope others to gain from attending Shazamfest?
I hope it creates a sense of community. I hope people have fun. I hope that I can open people up to new ideas of what art is. Maybe make them question things.
Your biggest dream?
Being successful at doing what I love.
Your biggest love?
Aside from my family, organizing events is what I love doing.
Your advice to those planning and organizing events?
Be ready to fail spectacularly.
