there was seriously maybe two or three bands that were incomprehensible roaring for a good 30 minutes.
my poor eardrums, i'm sorry.
However, B.A. Johnston was an insane m'f'cker. Think Jack Black (Tenacious D) antics. He wore red sweatpants and took off his shirt and drank beer and then jumped on a tabletop, then also ran up the stairs and slid down the banister. Just because. He played keys/synth and acoustic guitar was very entertaining and I could understand what he was saying! He had a hilarious song about squirrels - I bought a pin that says "EVERYBODY PUNCH A SQUIRREL". I applaud him for his ridiculously funny lyrics and stageshow.
Shockwave played my faves Honky Tonk Blues, Not At Fault and Ninja Turtles and a pretty sweet set overall.
I felt so tiny. Of course, I tried to avoid the guys that were circling and pushing and shoving to the music. I'm a lil' sad that it was their last show because Charlie is moving away.
Lives of Many was pretty good too. It's the second time I've seen them.
After Shockwave, we went to McDonald's for drive-thru, dropped the boys off, and Amanda left for home. Amelia and my sis and I watched Food Network and criticised TV and talked about random things until about 3 am. Randomness increases as the night progesses. It was good kind of sisterly-bonding time, which I was missing all of a sudden! More thoughts later.
Took some video as well. Probably get round to uploading sometime.
I LOVE WEEKENDS.
