Fear and Loathing (but not in Las Vegas)
Kelly lent me Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I have viewed the movie years ago and didn't really understand it, probably becasue I was so young, but I do believe the book has given me a greater insight. After I finish the book, I plan on re-visiting the movie. The book is way fucking out there, but also genius in its own right. I enjoy the drug-induced maddness.
Work is work..til your editor gives you a call requesting you start on more articles again. No pay, but the rewards that arnet monatary are pretty much damn well worth it. He also offered to sell the rights to the Zine to me, very cheap. I'm kind of in shock. I'm debating on weather or not he's serious or joking. He says I have damn awesome potential and could go places. Its definatly something to think about.
School is stressful. I can't believe how much I took advantage of teh break. I miss it and can't wait til summer, but I also love learning in some respect. At least it gets me out of the house.
If I could get out the house more, I would. My car is still in the shop, for almost a week now, and I'm starting to freak. For every day its in the shop I can almost hear the price goign up and up and up. I already really don't have the cash monies to bail it out as it is, even with parental help, and if its goign to cost me anymore in expensive repairs, I may just get a new car. I wish money grew on trees.
In random news, I went sledding the other day with Kait, Will and Kendall. I failed at snowboarding on the cheap plastic meijer board (it dosent help that my feet stuck all over the edge)and we did kid stuff, like whitewashes and ice shard ball things, and burrying Kendall in the snow. Then Kaits mommy made us hot chocolate. Yum! And we watched the last half of Whats Eating Gilbert Grape. good times.
OH! and Reefer Maddness is being preformed at EMU. If anyone is interested, call me, I plan on going.
